Corporate Support
Acorn Village is an independent and transparent charity with 50 years of experience making a difference in the lives of adults with learning disabilities. We invite businesses looking to create meaningful impact to partner with us.
Why Partner With Acorn Village?
Partnering with a charity enhances brand image and reputation, leading to increased customer loyalty, positive public perception and differentiation from competitors.

- Team building and increased staff motivation
- Opportunities to meet new people and potential clients
- Enhanced public relations and media coverage
- Fulfilling CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) objectives
- Ongoing support and collaboration from the Acorn team
- A boost to brand visibility and community reputation
- The feel-good factor of giving back and making a lasting impact
Charity of the Year Partner
If your company chooses a Charity of the Year, do please keep us in mind. As a local charity with a base in a Mistley, Manningtree which is easily accessible to the wider Essex, Suffolk and London areas, we have a unique opportunity for you to really see the impact your support will have.
It's a powerful way to show your company’s commitment to making a real difference. Whatever fundraising activities you decide to take on, our fundraising team is here to support you - whether that’s by speaking to your staff about the vital services we provide or highlighting the impact your efforts will have on the people we care for.
We have a fundraising pack specifically for corporates to give you ideas, hints and tips.
Corporate Volunteering
Corporate volunteering at Acorn Village offers businesses a meaningful, hands-on way to support adults with learning disabilities while strengthening team cohesion and social impact. Whether helping in our activities and workshops, assisting with the sale of donated goods process, or getting involved in maintenance and gardening projects across our vibrant community, corporate volunteers bring energy, skills, and fresh perspectives that make a real difference. These partnerships not only enhance the experiences of the people we support but also give teams a rewarding opportunity to see their contribution create immediate, positive change.
If you are interested to find out more about volunteering, please email us on supportus@acornvillages.com. This can be just a few of you or a larger team. If you have special leave to volunteer as an individual, we can for the most part, accommodate you as well.
Challenge Events
We are also delighted to be able to offer entry into a number of challenge events, either locally or further afield. This includes teams of up to 5 if you’d like to be able to enter as a group – this includes iconic half marathons such as the Royal Parks Half in October and for next year, London Landmarks Half. Visit our 'Find an Event' page to get inspired.
There are many ways that you and your staff can help us. From having one of our collection pots on your reception desk, or fundraising with a competitive 'egg drop' competition, through to event sponsorship and participation.
City and Country
"Housebuilders don’t just build homes; we help to shape strong communities and that means ensuring that all individuals and their families are included and supported. Supporting Acorn Village is our way to give back to our neighbours and invest in the wellbeing of a community beyond the bricks and mortar. Acorn is especially close to our hearts, with a genuine ‘people first’ ethos that creates life-enhancing opportunities for adults with learning disabilities" – Shelley West (Group Sales & Marketing Director)
