Phil's Training and Career Development

"I joined Acorn in 2012 as a Support Worker and have been supported every step of the way to learn, develop and progress. Acorn has given me access to fantastic training — from regular mandatory refreshers to specialist courses like Health & Social Care, Team Leading, and the Senior Staff Development Programme.

Thanks to this ongoing support, I’ve grown from Support Worker to Head of Day Services. Acorn really invests in its people — if you’re passionate about making a difference and want a place that helps you build a career, not just a job, this is the place to be."
