With over 25 years of experience in social care – and more than a decade focused specifically on training – Louise leads Acorn Training Services with energy and vision. She is passionate about personal development and thrives on seeing staff achieve things they never thought possible. Louise designs and delivers robust training programmes that support every stage of professional growth.

Fun fact: Louise once played in a brass band and still enjoys picking up a musical instrument when she can. She’s also a dog lover and proud owner of two furry friends – Henny the Shar Pei and Bailey the Cocker Spaniel.

Michelle began her career in care at just 18, qualifying as a Registered Mental Health Nurse by the age of 21.

Over the years, she’s worked in a wide range of mental health settings – from dementia care and eating disorders to drug and alcohol services – and in environments as varied as hospitals, the community, prisons, and even magistrates’ courts. Her passion for mentoring others led her into teaching and assessing roles, supported by qualifications like the ENB 990.

After retiring from the NHS during the pandemic, Michelle joined Acorn Village in 2022 as a Support Worker and quickly reignited her passion for training. She’s since completed her Level 3 Award in Education and Training, Mental Health Instructor course, and other specialist programmes. Today, she splits her time between supporting residents and delivering engaging, compassionate training to others.

Anne brings over 50 years of experience in health and social care, having worked in roles ranging from carer to manager of a 56-bed care home. Her deep understanding spans elderly care, learning disabilities, brain injury, physical disabilities, and end-of-life support.

Anne has always been driven by a desire to improve care quality – and believes that great care starts with great training. This belief led her to become a qualified assessor, internal verifier, and programme lead, delivering qualifications from Level 2 to Level 5 through apprenticeships and private training.

Anne’s knowledge and commitment continue to inspire the next generation of care professionals.
