Acorn provides wellbeing services to ensure residents and tenants feel supported in every aspect of life — promoting health, happiness, and independence within a caring community.
From its early beginnings, Acorn’s approach toward wellbeing has been greatly influenced by Steiner’s approach to education which seeks to “enliven the life of feeling and thinking as well as physical, social, artistic, and spiritual capacities. As the individual evolves, they are able to impart meaning and purpose to their lives and creatively fulfil their unique potential.”
Service user wellbeing is at the heart of all that we do through our various care provisions. We aim to ensure that everyone that lives here has the opportunity to achieve optimum wellbeing through a variety of avenues tailored to support individual needs and preferences.
Nurturing, inclusive, affirming environments alongside the creative thinking and positive attitudes of those in supportive roles, enable tenants and residents to express their authentic feelings, develop meaningful connections, celebrate strengths and achievements, face challenges with determination and resilience and develop self-worth, self-awareness and self-belief.
