Sam James
2026 London Marathon Runner
"The London Marathon is the ultimate challenge and I am nervous but excited about doing it. However I will do my very best and I am going to try to raise £3000 to support the work Acorn does. Seeing for myself what an amazing inclusive place it is supporting adults with learning disabilities is going to push me on even when my feet ache!" 🏃
Alice Stutter
Interim Deputy CEO and Head of Facilities at Acorn Village - Boxing Fundraising Challenge
Alice Stutter raised over £1500 for Acorn Village in the UWCB boxing challenge which ended in a draw in 2024.
"I thought entering the WCB would be a great challenge to keep my fitness on track and a great way to raise money for an amazing charity. Acorn Village is a very important charity to me as I work here and get to see first hand the amazing work done by the staff to ensure all residents get to live their life to their full potential."
Karla Sanders
Trainee Registered Care Manager at Acorn Village and 2026 London Landmarks Half Marathon Runner
Karla is running the London Landmarks Half Marathon for Acorn Village in 2026.
"For me personally, I wanted to set myself a challenge on something that is not normal for me. I am the most unfit person. This will be a huge challenge for me and I will have to push myself to the limit to train and complete it.
I am very proud to be working at Acorn Village alongside the individuals who live here and the staff who work here.
When I do this half marathon, it will be for them as well as myself, which will give me the push to carry on."
